My Pretty Little Pet

We have a bird feeder in our front yard. Lately it has been attracting things other than birds. Meet our new friend Hammy. He loves to eat the sunflower seeds out of the feeder. He has been letting me get closer and closer to him every day. He is amazingly acrobatic. I love to watch him run across the top of the fence and jump about 8 feet or so to the tree, then come scrambling down to the feeder.


He then turns upside down (keep in mind this thing is swinging) and digs out the seeds he likes.

These are the birds he displaced. When there are four or more birds they will take on Hammy and chase him all over the back yard. This morning there were only two so they will have to call for backup. Hammy also drives my dogs crazy. One of these days it might be funny to let Dash take him on. My money is on the squirrel!!!!
